Another Successful Fair

On Sunday 26th September East Durham College played host to an Antiques & Collectors Fair. This was the fourth fair to be held at the College by Colin Caygill Events, the North's leading organiser of Antiques & Collectors Fairs.

Colin Caygill Events bring together exhibitors, from across the UK, in all areas of the collectors' world.

Following Colin being contacted by the College's Events Coordinator, shortly after the new building opened in January 2009, he decided to call in and have a look around.

Colin Caygill, said: "I'd seen some photos of the college but it was still a surprise to see the scale of the atrium, it's a fantastic space.

"We like to hold our fairs in venues that provide a warm friendly atmosphere, with lots of natural light, where visitors can have a cup of coffee and a snack whilst contemplating a purchase, East Durham College ticks all the boxes.

From the first fair back in January Colin was delighted to see the car park filling up, even after about 6 inches of snow had fallen just hours before the doors opened.

Colin added: "We were inundated with positive comments from both visitors and exhibitors about the venue. People were telling us about the ease of unloading, it's so light, the food is great, we love the shopping mall feel to the space  it was all so positive."

The bright and airy atrium, within East Durham College's Peterlee Campus, is an ideal space for a range of events and exhibitions.

With easy access from the A19, free parking and onsite catering no wonder East Durham College is beginning to make a name for itself not only as a top north east college but as a versatile venue for events too. The next fair will be held on Sunday 27th March 2011.
